I would recommend Nova Smile Dental to all of my friends and family! I have dental anxiety and haven’t been in a few years so I was very nervous about my first appointment. All of the staff at Nova Smile Dental were very friendly (which calmed my nerves a lot) and extremely knowledgeable. I am looking forward to my upcoming appointments!

What is the best way to find a prosthodontist?

If you are looking for a prosthodontist near Springfield, you’ll want to consider a few key elements, such as:

  • Their education
  • Their awards and affiliations
  • Their hands-on experience and advanced training

Typically, you can find this kind of information in their doctor bio, which will usually be listed on their practice’s website.

At Nova Smile Dental, Dr. Salari earned her master’s degree in dental science and is considered an expert in various areas of dentistry, including dental implants, full mouth reconstruction, and smile makeovers. She earned her dental degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) in 2003 before pursuing a prosthodontics residency while living in Europe. She also participated in a post-graduate residency in TMJ disorders.

Apart from her work at Nova Smile Dental, she mentors other general dentists and assists with their cases and treatment plans to ensure each patient receives personalized, exceptional care.

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

It’s important that when you start the process of trying to find a dental practice, you develop a list of criteria. This will help you narrow your options when it comes time to choose the right professional to take care of your smile.

You might consider asking yourself the following questions to identify what is most important:

  • Do you want a specialist or a general dentist?
  • Do you want someone who provides comprehensive dental services?
  • Do you want someone whose office is located close to your home or work?
  • Do you want someone who is in-network with your dental insurance?
  • Do you want someone who offers advanced services, like sleep apnea treatment, TMJ treatment, etc.?

Once you’ve answered these questions, you will find that you have an easier time choosing which oral healthcare professional is right for your dental needs.

Dr. Salari is a talented prosthodontist who offers an array of services that are designed to improve, rebuild, maintain, restore, and enhance smiles of all kinds. She is pleased to be in-network with many PPO providers, including Medicaid, as well.

What do you do if you can’t afford a prosthodontist?

Forgoing treatment is not something you should do even if you think you cannot afford to see a prosthodontist. The problems you are experiencing will only worsen without timely treatment, resulting in more money and time spent in the treatment chair.

Instead, it is in your best interest to use your dental insurance. Many dental practices welcome PPO plans, including Nova Smile Dental. Dr. Salari is not only in-network with several major PPO providers, but she also welcomes Medicaid so that patients can receive the same high-quality oral healthcare they need but at a price they can afford.

She and our team do everything possible to keep our services as budget-friendly as possible so that you don’t have to worry about the high price of first-rate dental care.

What level of education is required to be a prosthodontist?

If you are curious about what it takes to become a prosthodontist, you must first realize that before you can specialize in any field, you must first complete an undergraduate degree with high scores in math and science. After finishing your bachelor’s degree, you will need to apply and graduate with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from one of the 67 accredited dental schools in the U.S. Most students spend an average of three years in dental school.

Afterward, if you decide to specialize in a particular area, like prosthodontics, you will need to complete a residency in prosthodontics, which can take three years or more. During this time, you will work with other professionals and receive hands-on training so that you are prepared to restore and replace teeth when working in the field. If you choose, you may pursue certification from the American Board of Prosthodontics.

Dr. Salari not only has extensive training and hands-on experience in tooth prostheses, but she completed three years of specialty training courses at an ADA-accredited prosthodontic education program.
